This work analyzes the shielding effectiveness (SE) of metal wire meshes with different geometries. When compared to the other shielding materials, advantages of using wire meshes are that they provide physical ease of use due to their lightweight, have low price and market accessibility. To this end, initially importance of shielding in various areas (TEMPEST, EMC, and health etc.) will be discussed. Then materials' details and results of SE measurements of four wire meshes will be provided. Later, an experimental setup which applies a chosen wire mesh on a wall of a room will be described.
