The arterial blood gas analysis under ambient air showed normoxia and normocapnia. His plasma glucose was 131 mg/dL (reference range, 70-110 mg/ dL), his blood level of carbon monoxide (CO) was 1.2 % (< 2%), and his blood ammonium concentration was 43 μg/dL (< 66 μg/dL).
