Both force and nurture each other. Economic development changes society’s perspectives for various aspects and components. This article studies position of women in modern Indian Economy in respect with India’s economic level. Study in Indian context has unveiled position of women in other parts of the world too. Improvement of status of women in society has been recognized by international organizations like United Nations and International Labour Organization (ILO). Study of available statistics brings some strange points in front of us, when we see inverse relationship between level of education, level of economic development and social attitude towards counter gender by male members of society.
