In this paper, we propose to focus on a public action instrument presented as a solution to reduce household waste, and potentially limit the use of these treatment facilities: incentive pricing. As an ecological tax, this tool also has social acceptability issues and this article, which is the result of research carried out in the Centre-Val de Loire region, will attempt to define the outlines of this tool in order to propose avenues for reflection.
