Therefore, an engineering design methodology for IoT innovation is required, especially for non-information and communication technology experts. In this paper, we call the engineering design method for IoT innovation \"IoT innovation design method,\" and discuss its requirements and perspectives with reference to previous studies. Then, this paper proposes a concrete IoT innovation design method with an example.
