It is known that the load of secondary device can be reduced by utilizing geolocation database. A channel allocation algorithm based on geo-location and positioning accuracy is proposed by using geo-location database in order to further reduce the secondary device's load and sensing cost. Based on the geo-location and positioning accuracy of white space devices (WSDs), the proposed algorithm first allocates the available channels to the WSD which locates outside the keepout region of TV stations. Then, it allocates the channels to the WSDs within the scope of protection of TV station, and in this case the WSD has to sense the allocated channels to determine whether they are idle using the energy detection algorithm. A Channel Allocation Algorithm Based on Geo-location and Positioning Accuracy in Geo-location Database
