Ultrasmall silicon mode converters designed by wavefront matching method developed for waveguide discontinuity problem
The wavefront matching method for the waveguide discontinuity problem is newly developed in this study. The developed method can be applied to optimize the waveguides including reflection. The application for silicon mode converters are demonstrated and ultrasmall and low-loss structure is obtained.
