The results and comments of the article revealed the role of imitative words in the world and Uzbek linguistics. The study concludes that phonetically long vowels are often found in the structure of most imitative words; in English, imitative words are mostly monosyllabic, they are used in pairs or repetitions; the use of short vowels mean that the action is performed quickly, long vowels indicate the continuation of the action; the suffix -a is added to the end of the words to indicate the continuity and speed of the action.
