Firstly, by considering the perceptual properties of video content, a picture is divided into two groups of regions, namely regions of interest (ROIs) and regions of non-interest (nonROIs). Then, a just noticeable difference (JND)-based distortion propagation estimation model is proposed to determine an appropriate region-level intra-period value for regions according to their content characteristics and perceptual importance. Further, a region-level bit allocation method is used to update the coding resource allocation process. 摘要

根据人类视觉系统(HVS),视频区域具有不同的视觉掩蔽效果和显著性特征。然而,在现有的感知视频编码方案中,图像的不同区域基本保持相同的编码方式,没有充分利用感知特性。为此,本文提出了一种基于自适应区域级周期内的感知视频编码方法。首先,考虑到视频内容的感知属性,将图像分为两组区域,即感兴趣区域(roi)和非感兴趣区域(nonroi)。然后,提出了一种基于JND的失真传播估计模型,根据区域的内容特征和感知重要性确定合适的区域级周期内值。此外,采用区域级位分配方法来更新编码资源分配过程。实验结果表明,该方法在节省比特数和提高感知视觉质量方面都优于现有的算法。
