Comparison of a single-phase induction motor drive fed by VSI and MxC with option of speed reduction
This paper deals with comparison of a novel supply system consisting of a single leg matrix converter with a single leg voltage source inverter fed the single phase induction machine. Single leg matrix converter operates without DC-interlink, thus there is no need to use bulky capacitors. Comparison of the two converters is made by simulation under motoric load.
