This research is a descriptive survey that involves 46 biology education students of FKIP UMRAH who were in their first year of study. The data were collected through tests by using 2 essay questions on the topic of kinematics presented in graphical form. This research aimed to determine the ability of students to identify the types of motion of objects through graphs. Consequently, the results showed that there were still difficulties in identifying the types of objects' motion through graphs.
