BLOOD SUPPLY TO THE SHOULDER AND FOREARM MUSCLES IN THE HUMAN FOETUS

. Shoulder muscles are divided into two groups according to the topographic and anatomical principles: anterior (flexors) and posterior (extensors). The anterior group consists of three muscles: the clavicle-shoulder, biceps brachii and brachialis; the posterior group consists of the triceps brachii and ulnar muscles. These two muscle groups are separated from each other by the laminae of the brachialis fascia: on the medial side by the medial intermuscular septum of the shoulder, on the lateral side by the lateral intermuscular septum of the shoulder.
