Functioning of totalitarian systems – selected aspects

Totalitarian regimes that are often associated with XX-th century are topic of disputs of psychologists and political scientists. Countless amount of people that uncritically believe in words of their leaders even today create fear among normal citizens of civilized world. In totalitarian and authoritarian regimes, usage of psychological warfare was a standard thing. Evolution of propaganda and techniques of manipulation has lead to a perfect dictatorships, that brutally extinguished any kind of insubordination. Almost religious attitude of citizens toward rulers till this day is subject of many studies focused around description of modern social pathologies. Expansions are indeed one of the most important subjects of totalitarian regimes. These expansions alongside aggresive politics of totalitarian regimes were often cause of conflicts known as – Total Wars –an ultimate tool of international conflicts. These wars that were strictly bounded to totalitarianism caused millions of causalities all around the world.
