Knowledge can be regarded as one of the key issues in terms of this type of human discourse activity. Knowledge and discourse are considered to be the fundamental categories in the field of the Humanities. In linguodidactic discourse, knowledge can be represented on the level of different formats. Within these terms the leading role belongs to linguistic knowledge that includes both the theoretical basis of language and culture acquisition, as well as language proficiency issues. In the English discourse the linguistic knowledge concept can be presented by various terminological units, among which the most capacious way of the integrative meaning representation is the word-combination “linguistic knowledge”, the semantic peculiarities of which are conditioned by the specificity of its context, that plays the leading role in the process of semantic meanings formation in the actual speech reality.
