Subjek yang terlibat dalam penelitian ini adalah sebagian siswa kelas VII SMP Islam 1 Kota Ternate yang berjumlah 53 orang siswa yang tersebar dalam 2 kelas, dan diambil dengan teknik cluster sampling. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian true eksperimental dengan desain pretest-posttest control group design, dimana terdapat kelas eksperimen dan kontrol. Data pemahaman konsep fisika siswa dianalisis menggunakan uji normalisasi gain, uji-t dan uji ukuran dampak dengan bantuan software SPSS.20. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan pemahaman konsep Fisika siswa kelas VII SMP Islam Kota Ternate pada konsep zat dan wujudnya setelah diterapkannya model pembelajaran Glasser sebesar 27%. Sementara besar perbedaan signikansi peningkatan pemahaman konsep fisika siswa antara kelas yang menggunakan model pembelajaran Glasser dan model pembelajaran langsung, yakni 46,85%. Berdasarkan hasil uji ukuran dampak dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapana model pembelajaran Glasser berpengaruh terhadap  pemahaman konsep  fisika siswa. Kata Kunci: Model glasser, pemahaman konsep fisika ABSTRACT The selection of  the right learning model greatly determines the quality of teaching in the teaching and learning process. This study aims to determine the effect of the application of the Glasser learning model on students' understanding of physics concepts. The subjects involved in this study were some of the seventh grade students of SMP Islam 1 Ternate City, amounting to 53 students spread over 2 classes, and were taken by using cluster sampling technique. This study is a true experimental research with a pretest-posttest control group design, where there are experimental and control classes. Students' understanding of physics concepts data were analyzed using the gain normalization test, t-test and effect size test with the help of SPSS.20 software. The results showed that there was an increase in students' understanding of physics concepts in grade VII Islamic Junior High School in Ternate City on the concept of substances and their forms after the application of the Glasser learning model are 27%. Meanwhile, there was a significant difference in the increase in students' understanding of physics concepts between classes using the Glasser learning model and the direct learning model, namely 46.85%. 摘要
