Conventional OFDMA systems require power-consuming IFFT in the transmitter. It will be shown that “Green” can be realized in the generation of IFDMA signals by replacing the IFFT circuit with a simplified subcarrier mapping circuit. “Elastic” bandwidth provisioning will be demonstrated by the uplink experiment of dynamic allocation on-demand of 20 Gbps-QPSK and 30 Gbps-8 PSK signals to two ONUs.
