CDMA soft handoff modelling: a networking approach
Due to the importance of call generation and mobility in a CDMA network, a model to quantify the effects on the handoff and new calls when resources such as capacity, reservation, demand, and mobility vary is needed. In this paper a new simulation and analytical approximation model for performance evaluation of soft handoff and new calls in a CDMA environment system is proposed in order to characterize the behavior of the user's mobility.
