A pair of HEH11degenerate modes is employed to construct dual-band differential-mode operation based on their symmetrical field distributions. Besides, the orthogonality of these two modes is utilized to independently design two passbands using cross-shaped slot. With only two DRs and two pairs of probes, low loss balanced dual-band response and high level common-mode rejection could be achieved at the same time. A balanced dual-band filter centered at 3.4 and 3.6 GHz is implemented for demonstration.
