General characteristics included gender and age, and BDI (Beck Depression Inventory) consisting of 21 questions was used to measure depression. As a result of the study, those who raise companion animals had a lower scale of depression scale than those who did not (p<0.01).The results of the above study will not only affect depression in single-person households with and without Companion Animals, but will also be able to design specific studies based on this study to suggest alternatives to depression.
