Towards an understanding of surfaces through polygonization
We identify some of the major problems in polygonizing parametric surfaces. We are interested in associating an error with a polygonization which tells us how well we have done, rather than judging a surface by its looks alone. We introduce an error measurement which is more intuitive and helps to understand the surface.
