Vermiculture is one of branches of organic farming wherein the EisenFoetida (red earthworms) are grown. These worms play a crucial role in the vermicomposting process. This technique requires regulating of some of the parameters like moisture content of the soil, ambient temperature of the vermicomposting chamber, level of gas produced in the chamber necessary for the survival and growth of the worms. The process of vermicomposting requires a period varying from 45-120 days, depending on the materials to be composted.
