Bandlimited FIR differentiators with high stopband attenuation and low stopband energy
This paper presents a method for the design of bandlimited finite duration impulse response (FIR) differentiators with high stopband attenuation and low stopband energy. These bandlimited differentiators have significantly higher stopband attenuation than bandlimited least squares differentiators while achieving significantly lower stopband energy than bandlimited equiripple differentiators. Bandlimited differentiators with either equiripple or least squares frequency response characteristics can still be obtained using the method presented in this paper.
