Harmonic Analysis of Antenna Factor and Transmit Antenna Factor of Dipole Antenna with BALUN
The Antenna Factor (AF) and Transmit antenna Factor (TAF) are the main parameters of an EMC antenna for EMI/EMC testing. But, these factors are not exclusively analysed at harmonics frequencies. In this paper AF and TAF, a dipole antenna with BALUN has been calculated at the fundamental and harmonic frequencies using the gain of the dipole antenna. The gain of the dipole antenna with BALUN has been determined using simulations in CST microwave studio followed by fabrication of the design and measurements. The antenna is used for measuring the strength of radiation received from equipment while performing EMI EMC testing. Here, results of the calculated AF and TAF of the dipole antenna using simulated and measured values have been compared and validated up to 10th harmonics.
