The mathematical model of the five-phase squirrel-cage induction motor has been presented. The method of Space Vector Modulation used to control a five-phase Voltage Source Inverter has been considered. The description and the design procedure of the STSM-DFOC control structure have been shown. The simulation model of the STSM-DFOC structure has been developed and the simulation studies have been performed. The results of the performed simulation studies have been presented.
