Yet precise location of laser spot center is a key issue of ensuring the measurement accuracy. This paper combined the average background model method with the curve fitting sub-pixel positioning algorithm of bar center to do the sub-pixel localization of laser spot center. First, the average background model method is used to extract the laser spot, and then the curve fitting sub-pixel positioning algorithm of barycenter is employed to calculate the sub-pixel coordinates of laser spot center.
