Membaca menjadi dasar utama untuk memperoleh pengetahuan di berbagai bidang dan berperan penting dalam proses pembelajaran di sekolah. Permasalahan rendahnya kemampuan membaca juga terjadi pada beberapa peserta didik kelas I, II, III, dan IV di SD Negeri Wonosari 1, Ngawi. Program Kelas Baca yang dilakukan di SD Negeri Wonosari 1 bertujuan untuk membantu peserta didik agar mampu membaca dengan lancar dan benar serta menumbuhkan minta bacanya. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yang dilakukan oleh salah satu Mahasiswi Universitas Negeri Malang yang tergabung dalam Program Kampus Mengajar Angkatan 3 di SD Negeri Wonosari 1 dilakukan melalui tahap pra kegiatan, pelaksanaan kegiatan, dan pasca kegiatan. Hasil evaluasi dari kegiatan menunjukkan terjadi peningkatan kemampuan membaca pada peserta didik yang mengikuti program Kelas Baca. Selain itu, peserta didik mampu menceritakan kembali isi buku yang telah dibaca dan terjadi peningkatan minat baca yang ditunjukkan dengan aktivitas membaca mandiri saat jam istirahat. Wali kelas mengakui bahwa peserta didik mudah memahami materi pembelajaran karena kemampuan membacanya semakin meningkat. Abstract: One issue of education in Indonesia that has become a challenge is the low reading ability of students at the elementary school level. Reading is the main basis for acquiring knowledge in various fields and plays an important role in the learning process at school. The problem of low reading ability also occurs in some students in grades I, II, III, and IV at Wonosari 1 State Elementary School, Ngawi. The Reading Class program at SD Negeri Wonosari 1 aims to help students to be able to read fluently and correctly and to grow their reading requests. Community service activities carried out by one of the State University of Malang students who are part of the 3rd Generation Teaching Campus Program at Wonosari 1 State Elementary School are conducted through pre-activity, activity implementation, and post-activity stages. The evaluation results of the activity show an increase in reading skills in students who take part in the Reading Class program. In particular, students were able to retell the contents of the books they had read and there was an increase in interest in reading as shown by independent reading activities during their breaks.
