Dielectric Frequency Spectroscopy as Potential Tool for the Designation Water Content in Aviation Fuel
The dielectric frequency spectroscopy is useful tool for characterization of material properties. This method is experimentally and practically used in many scientific and industry areas. In this paper, the water content in aviation turbine fuel JET A1 is studied by means of frequency domain spectroscopy which involves the measurement of complex permittivity as function of frequency. The water content of samples two quantities 0.03% and 0.06% of total amount was prepared. The frequency spectroscopy at very low frequencies and room temperature was investigated. The measuring voltage was changed in range 0 – 10 V and there was observed changes in dielectric spectra. From results can be shown influence of water content on parts of complex permittivity in frequency spectrum.
