However, PV poses some notable challenges when the grid is a weak grid. In this paper, a grid tie inverter is modeled and simulated. The power output of inverter must meet the utility requirements such as power quality, dc current injection, power factor etc. Grid synchronization is another concern for grid interfaced system and need continuous monitoring of grid variables. Hence, the reference template for the injected current waveform is derived from grid variables such as frequency and phase. The complete control algorithm of grid-tie inverter is simulated and experimental verification is carried out for a single phase grid connected 10 kW solar PV power systems.
