Este trabalho teve por objetivo relatar o caso clinico de um paciente submetido a cirurgia ortognatica, cujos resultados pos-operatorios demonstram uma importante melhora na funcao e harmonia facial do mesmo, o que vem a confirmar que este procedimento, quando planejado de forma multiprofissional, e um importante instrumento de mudanca na vida dos pacientes, possibilitando uma reintegracao normal na sociedade devolvendo sua auto-estima. Palavras Chaves: Cirurgia ortognatica, FIR, Deformidade Dentoalveolar ABSTRACT According to the literature, the orthognathic surgical procedure provides patients with functional and aesthetic results, providing significant changes in their quality of life. This study aimed to report the clinical case of a patient submitted to orthognathic surgery, whose postoperative results demonstrate an important improvement in the function and facial harmony of the same, which confirms that this procedure, when planned in a multiprofissional way, is an important instrument of change in the life of patients, allowing a normal reintegration in society and returning their self-esteem.
