In order to reduce the large error of auxiliary power load model and diversify the test condition, this paper proposes a simulation method of thermal power unit leading phase ability based on auxiliary power load correction model. Firstly, an auxiliary power load correction model is put forward with parameter identification method base on operational data of power plant. Secondly, this paper tests thermal power unit leading phase ability on different system voltages and unit output. The case study tests thermal power unit leading phase ability based on operational data of an actual generating unit between June 2013 and June 2016, and compares simulation results with leading phase test result.
