Low cost MEMS accelerometers often provide poor accuracy and make system divergent rapidly. This paper provides another way to use accelerometer. Mounting accelerometer on wheel, one can get accuracy angular velocity and degree of wheel, then vehicle's speed and passing distance can be calculated accurately.
