Measuring the system performance is rather hard because of the complex interaction among the loops, but very important for the design, improvement and control of the production systems. In this paper, we propose an approximation method which is based on the overlapping decomposition philosophy, and introduce the iterative procedures to estimate a two-loop closed production system's performance.
