Analyzing motor installations to ensure trouble-free operation

Motor problems usually cause a crisis, and are quite aggravating, especially if the problem could have been prevented. The keys to successful motor operation include: a quality motor; understanding of the application; choice of the proper type of motor for the application; proper installation-mounting, coupling, surroundings-for the motor; and proper maintenance of the motor. Certain problems seem to reoccur more frequently than others.
