It also aimes to know the impact of computer use on the academic performance of faculty members and research scholars in a university setup. A survey questionnaire was administered to university academics and collected on its completion. This study has demonstrated the high use of the computer by faculty and research scholars. It is found that there exists a difference of opinion among the faculty and research scholars regarding the computer access (p=0.000), years of experience in the use of computer (p=0.000) and purpose of use (p=0.040).
