Sinema ve Edebiyat İlişkisi Bağlamında Selvi Boylum Al Yazmalım ve Ben, Tien-Şan Filmlerinin Türsel Çözümlemesi

Cinema and literature, two important branches of art that deeply affect mankind socially, culturally, economically and psychologically, actually reach their readers/ audiences with different techniques. These two branches, one of which feeds on each other and the other with audiovisual narrative forms, interacted in themselves. Thanks to the narrative made with the art of “image” in cinema and “word” in literature, readers visualize events. In the history of cinema in the world and Turkey, works adapted from literature to film are encountered quite often. From this point on, the differences and similarities between Cengiz Aytmatov’s novel Selvi Boylum Al Yazmalım and Ben, Tien-Şan and Selvi Boylum Al Yazmalım will be included. Two different versions of Kyrgyz Literary Writer Cengiz Aytmatov’s Selvi Boylum Al Yazmalım, adapted for cinema by Turkish director Atıf Yılmaz and Russian director Irina Poplavskaya, were selected as examples. In the study, it is aimed to make a kind analysis of our films that make up our sample. In this context, cinematographically based narrative structures based on similar themes, characters, conflicts and visual depictions will be examined through both films.
