Based on the proposed algorithm, 150-kVA 24000-rpm fault-tolerant electric machine with a power-to-mass ratio of 4 kW/kg was designed. The stator is oil-immersed. The results of mechanical, thermal, and electromagnetic calculations are presented. Based on the design, a full-size experimental prototype of the fault-tolerant electric machine with an additional winding located on the stator back was developed. The test results confirmed the achievement of the power-to-mass ratio of 4 kW/kg. The efficiency of the created fault-tolerant electric machine was 96– 97%. Experimental results show a high degree of convergence with the calculation results.
