Compressed sensing is applied to find the solution of array element excitations from measured data. The electric far fields of array antenna are measured at a single fixed location. To obtain adequate and independent data, fields are sampled at multiple frequencies in the frequency band of the array. The requirements of compressed sensing are achieved in a new way. The field measuring is more efficient than existing methods.
