Fifty-four species are assigned to the subclass Pteriomorphia, including the genera Grammatodon (Grammatodon), Grammatodon (Cosmetodon), Plagiostoma, Antiquilima, Pseudolimea, Ctenostreon, Otapiria, Oxytoma (Oxytoma), Palmoxytoma, Meleagrinella (Praemeleagrinella), Bositra, Terquemia, Placunopsis, Entolium (Entolium), Chlamys (Chlamys), Chlamys (Copeipecten) subgen. nov., Pseudopecten (Pseudopecten), Camptonectes (Gandalfus) subgen. nov., Eopecten, Harpax, Atreta, Liostrea, Gryphaea (Gryphaea), including G. (G.) lavernockensis sp. nov., Gryphaea (Bilobissa), Nanogyra, Parainoceramya, Semuridia, Anningella, Pteria, Cuneigervillia, Gervillella, Gervillia (Gervillia), Gervillia (Cultriopsis) and Pinna (Pinna).
