It has medicinal properties such as anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, anti-asthmatic, potential anticancer, anti-anaphylactic and anti-microbial activities. The plant was collected from the traditional market in Omdurman. Prepared ethanolic extract of leaves were used to evaluate the phytochemical screening to detect the presence of flavonoids, alkaloids, tannins, phenol, saponins, carbohydrate,cumarins and absence of anthraquinones and triterpenes.
