Effect of element initialization in synchronous networked control system to control quality
This paper presents some results on the modeling and analysis of networked control systems (NCS). The problem analyzed is the design of control systems whose elements are interconnected by a communication network. For modeling and simulations of NCS coloured Petri nets and design/CPN software tool were chosen. The simulation results of a simple tank system are presented, but within the research activity the cascade system with two connected tanks is also studied. It is shown how the performance of a NCS can be improved by modifying the control strategy. From the simulation results the case of the TEE initialization is the most robust, i.e. the influence of random delays is the smallest on quality. So, the performance of an NCS can be improved by modifying the control strategy.
