Verification of container data center using 380 V dc power distribution system
In recent years, energy consumption has been increasing rapidly due to the increased use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) systems. As one solution to this issue, 380 V dc power distribution systems have been attracting attention as high-efficiency and high-reliability power systems that can be used in telecommunications buildings and data centers. Against this background, we have been moving forward on the construction and demonstration of a container data center in Rokkasho, a village in Aomori Prefecture, the location of Japan's largest wind farm. In this paper, I describe an intermediate step based on the field data about power quality and efficiency of energy use of this container data center using power obtained by wind-power generation in Rokkasho.
