Using a qualitative assessment to determine the extent of the system functionality

A hierarchical model is presented for the implementation of a qualitative assessment of the system's operability. The system consists of objects. Objects are characterized by their parameters. The estimation is based on the determination of the state of the parameters. The procedure is carried out by introducing intermediate scales of numerical estimation. Qualitative assessments are aligned with their quantitative equivalents. Such a scheme allows us to construct a formalized transfer algorithm. The evaluation consists in determining the correspondence of the parameters of an object to one of the areas of their possible state. This takes into account the mode of operation of the system. The data obtained are qualitative variables. They are represented on the set of equivalence relations of names, which determines the qualitative nature of the evaluation.
