In the initial part of the article the authors deal with the definition of basic terms in the area of modelling and simulation of processes. In the second part, methods of verification and validation of models are presented. The article describes the modelling environment LabVIEW, creation of virtual instruments, methods of planning and the proposal of processes, as well as distant administration of the processes. In the given environment authors designed a virtual instrument to monitor the loading of processor. The application can be used as a diagnostic tool for the tuning of processes, demanding as to calculation and memory. The application can also serve for fast processor temperature detecting.
