The work examines written ancient sources, as well as numismatics, which are associated with the legend of the appearance of the Argead dynasty. The author draws attention to the similarity of the Scythian, Thracian and Macedonian iconography of coins, as well as to the similarity of the evidence of the written tradition when describing the founding of dynasties.
