The algorithm decomposes the received data of vector sensor array into three independent array observation data. By constructing the orientation matrix of vector sensor array, it realizes the accurate estimation of the azimuth parameters of wideband noise source, and overcomes the problems of peak searching and parameter matching in the conventional direction estimation. Analyzing the noise signal radiated by the air target, the positioning accuracy of the algorithm under different SNR is studied. The results show that the algorithm can give the number of noise sources correctly and has high estimation accuracy. When the SNR is 5dB, the orientation error is less than 1.0°.
