EFFICIENCY OF PHYSICAL REHABILITATION OF MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS WITH THE CONSEQUENCES OF COVID-19

The effectiveness of 6-week rehabilitation of 53 patients who came through moderate severity pneumonia caused by COVID-19 was studied. At the 3rd stage of investigation, the study participants were divided into two groups, taking into account the profession: medical staff (31 persons) and service workers (22 persons). The examination, carried out after the end of the observation period, revealed a lower efficiency of restoration of impaired functions in the group of medical workers — significant improvement in terms of vital capacity of the lungs, severity of dyspnea, exercise tolerance were not achieved, which dictates the need for a longer duration of rehabilitation treatment courses. At the same time, a decrease in the activity of systemic inflammation, an improvement in the quality of life upon completion of 6-week rehabilitation in medical professionals indicates the potential for further health restoration.
