Using the space grid as the computing unit, grid-based disaster damage assessment model gives us a new way to analyze and process the disaster geospatial data and the socio-economic data on the unit grid. It can express the process of the disaster dynamically. This paper elaborates the method of the grid-based disaster loss calculation. Then we have discussed the development objectives and function design of the integrated system. Finally, combined with ArcGIS Server platform we have developed a system and as a result conducted a scenario simulation and grid-based damage assessment experiments on several major disasters.
