Continuous retention of stressed conditions may result in serious health issues such as chronic disease, mental disorder, depression, anxiety, and worse quality of life. As conventional medication causes severe side effects, complementary and alternative medicines are in the highest demand for stress reduction. The paper reports Tratak meditation and its EEG analysis to demonstrate effective stress reduction in humans. The proposed study shows that during short-term Tratak meditation, the brain signals reduce the irregularity, calm down the person, reduce stress, and regularize the brain wave patterns. Approximate entropy is used for analysis and tested for rest and during Tratak.
