Two measurements of scattering parameters are performed to develop the proposed model, for thru and short-circuit calibration standards. The phase constant and return-loss for a waveguide section inserted between two coaxial to waveguide transitions are obtained by de-embedding the transitions using the proposed model. The results are in very good agreement with the expected ones.
