Under the background of steel rolling, the synchronous motor drives the roll to rotate, and the load of the rolling piece in the working area has abrupt disturbance. Therefore, the synchronous motor rolling mill drive system has some problems such as speed fluctuation, steady speed error and torque fluctuation. In order to solve these problems, a dynamic model including synchronous motor, frequency converter and rolling mill drive system is established in this paper.A new adaptive method is used to estimate the disturbance upper bound and dead zone breakpoint, and a backstepping control method is used to offset the disturbance effect and compensate the dead zone execution.
